So I budged....
I am not a fan of "Pre school" or even a fan of being away from my kids.
So I was not going to do Pre School because I teach my kids everything...they know their colors, numbers, ABC's....
As I was talking to one of our neighbors about Kindergarten and how great the school is that Candice will be going to next year, she mentioned that the "Elementary" does NOT offer half day Kindergarten...
So I thought about it a few days, and talked to Candice and asked what she thought,
she was a little excited.
I also thought I should start this "seperation anxiety" between her and I, maybe kick it in the butt a little.
So I called the school to get her into Pre School and they had an opening.
I dont really want her in a "day care pre school"
SO....after 4 long days of waiting...
...TODAY CANDICE STARTED SCHOOL...
Daddy came home to take his little Princess to her VERY FIRST day of school.
Candice,
You are getting so big and I can hardly stand it.
Today you made me realize that your not ALWAYS going to NEED me.
This morning you had me convinced that you were going to need me just a little,
so I dropped brother and sister off with Po-po and when we brought you to school I promised I would stay with you until you were okay for me to leave.
As we walked into your class room you asked me to take a picture of you, and after the picture I asked
"Candice are you going to be OKAY?"
with a BIG HUGE smile, you waved and said "Bye Mom see you later."
A few tears fell down my face so I started to walk away and tryed my hardest to hold it together.
You are my oldest child and forever no matter how old will always be my baby.
You have taught me to be stronger then I ever was.
You have taught me how to love unconditionally.
You have tought me SO much more then I think I would have ever known..
You have tought me SO much more then I think I would have ever known..
You made me a mommy and that right there makes me so proud to be!
I will always be here for you, and I will always LOVE you no matter what.
Keep making me proud baby girl!
Keep making me proud baby girl!
And Please just act like you need me sometimes.
And Don't grow up so fast!
You looked absolutely beautiful for your very first day of school,
wearing such a BIG gorgeous smile,
and your hair all done up (even if you thought it was "not good enough for pre school")
I love you baby girl
Mommy!
