“If you start judging people you will be having no time to love them… If we cannot love the person whom we see, how can we love god, whom we cannot see? ~ Mother Teresa

Cutting Cost

We happen to be just like everyone else in these hard, ugly economic times, and the first thing we do is cut cost. I have been shutting everything down in the house, trying to keep things cool at 78 - 79 degrees sometimes even turning it off, while the outside in 108 - 110 degrees this week. But ONE thing I love and dis-like at the same time, are these little windows we have on the top of our house, I love watching the storms, I love the look, I love the fact I don't need to use my kitchen lights till about 5 or 6pm, but dis-like the heat that comes in, and the sun light at 3pm that feels the need to beam on the children as they are taking a time out and re-catching a piece of mind. I call this time "quiet time" No one talks, sometimes Ill even find 3 or all 4 of them sleeping at this time. It's nice, However I decided to make little canvases for these windows to keep the heat and the sunlight out, this house at 78 degrees in actually perfect! No more fighting the heat, or sunlight. I found some really nice, "cheap" fabric, and my hubby and I went to town building these cute little things for the windows, we still have a few more to make, but it works, it adds color, and its AWESOME!
