So this week we have had many "Firsts" in this family.
TONS of FUN!
Monday we started out slumpy.
Then headed over to "Starbucks" for 45minutes for story time.
The kids got milk and cookies, gold fish, a few books read to them, and made a craft!
They had a blast, after that we went over to the Library to get our rewards, and some new books.
Tuesday we hung around the house and caught up on laundry and the little things.
Wednesday:
Well its the middle of the week and what else do we do in the middle of the week when we have absolutely NOTHING planned?
We use our "free taco coupons" at Del Taco that we earned from the reading program, Dad meets us for lunch because well its FREE and he only has to pay for him and I! =)
and then...
We go with some friends to "SKATE LAND"
After I got there and put all the kids in their skates, I thought to myself "WHAT WAS I THINKING"
Sam would not stand in her skates, so I has to exchange them for the "plastic" skates, then suddenly I couldn't keep up with her every time I turned around she was gone, on the skating rink... She had a BLAST!
Ethan did a Great job with the "skate mate" at first he was not to sure about it, then I got him some "plastic" skates as well, and of course he was a professional all of a sudden!
Cameren already knew how to skate in roller blades at that.. so he got some blades and skated his little booty off! He thought that the "laser light" show was the best, when the black lights came on and his white shirt was glowing! SOOOO COOOL!!
Candice got some skates from Santa clause so she already knew how to skate. (she didn't need a skate mate, but used one to skate next to Austin so that he wasn't embarrassed) she is a great sister, she took her little brother and little sister around once, she thought that was so cool.
Austin...well I got many pictures of Austin, however this is the only picture that didn't show up dark!! GRRR!! So for a first time in skates, (not roller blades) He did awesome! He used the skate mate and skated laps! He fell one time pretty hard on his knees...everyone got a taste of fall on the booty, but Austin leans forward...? I'm not sure how he does it. But he was amazing and keeps asking when we are going back!
Also as you can see ELMO came out to say "HI" to all the skaters... My girls do NOT like mascots. But the boys LOVE them so they all got a picture with ELMO!!
They thought that was pretty cool too, but they were placing bets that he couldn't skate.... BOYS!
Thursday:
We put some thought into dads Fathers day present, and with a few arguments and laughs, we came up with something pretty awesome... Dad knows we were up to something because I had paint ALL over my legs... and arms! Then a good friend of mine called and asked if we have ever been to the "pecan groves" Well that sounded exciting....so her and I went over and took the kids to collect pecans and eat them. Also of course PLAY!
WING NIGHT!
After that we went to a petting zoo....enough said about that it was GROSS!
Friday:
After waking up and eating breakfast... helping me clean the house, we all went to Costco minus dad.
Had some lunch and tasted a few samples, checked out the clothes.
I got yelled at by the kids and told I was am mean because they wanted "Carmel apples loaded with candy, that were 3 for 10.99" Yeah NOT! (I kind of felt bad)
Went over to Grandmas because she was home, played for a little bit, then I talked dad into getting off work early and meeting us over at Dairy Queen!
Then back to Grandmas for a sleep over because Dad and I had softball.
Saturday:
We went over to pick the kids up and Grandmas and they were SWIMMING ALREADY!
That Grandma she loves to spoil!
after we left we went to a few stores and then surprised the kids with...
DINNER...(a start to fathers day)
YUP! They were excited... we made Carmel apples for dinner!
each kid got to decorate their very own Carmel apple any way they wanted.
And just could not wait to sink their teeth into them!
Now I don't feel so bad about not buying the apples at Costco!
(I have a hard time saying NO, I got that from my momma)
WHAT A FUN WEEK!
