“If you start judging people you will be having no time to love them… If we cannot love the person whom we see, how can we love god, whom we cannot see? ~ Mother Teresa

"A" mountain Hike

To start our year off, I decided to take the (older) kids on a hike. Being their first hike and I was not to sure how they would do, I chose the "A" mountain. It's easy and fun. Also I wanted to show them where I use to hangout all the time as a teenager. (that was my hangout, I would run up and down that mountain with my dog. I loved to hike)  Being something I LOVE to do, and have only done a few times after I had Sam. I want to share my passion with my kids, give them the option to explore new adventures.
Sadly Cam had to go home that day. I didn't realize that and had planned the hike for that day. He was super bummed out. But next time we will take him up there.
After we dropped Cam off at the airport, Dad surprised us, and took the rest of the day off work, so he got to join us, and we had already invited a few friends to join us too, Made for a good time!!  Not really being to much of a hike, the kids made the best of it. Seriously cracked me up when we got to the top. They said "This is it?" as they were hopping from rock to rock. It was FUN, and a great way to start our New Year!!
  1. The beginning of our hike.
  2. At the top of the mountain and a beautiful view behind us
  3. The "A" Mountain was decorated for Christmas and Austin was OBSESSED with the Hanukkah candles, he wanted to make sure to get a picture with them. ;)
  4. Candice learned to "climb, and jump rocks" As you can see Dad was a little nervous.
