Derby Car

Cam decided he wanted Dad to help him with his "Derby Car" for scouts. Being his last year and all he really wants to WIN!! Well I think he came to the right guy for that. Dad is a VERY intelligent man, and he knows his cars (wood or Gas)  Also since dad and Cam don't get to do very many projects like that, this was a great way for the boys to bond. It was fun walking into the garage and seeing them so excited, wanting to show me every step of the way. I however didn't see much in a "block" so I of course had to tell them what an outstanding job it was. Until SHOCKINGLY, I walked out and it was no longer a block it took shape, and lots of  "patience"  Being a kid and having patience is HARD! Especially for Cam because he seems to know everything, has a hard time just sitting back and taking notes. So trust me when I say it was very fun to watch!! They decided on a very beautiful orange color to paint it. And when they rolled it on the ground it rolled pretty good!! I cant wait to hear how the car handles, and what place he will take this year.  If he doesn't place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at least he has a cool car and it was made with dad. Very proud of you guys!!
